Hinsdale Colorguards
On March 28th, the Hinsdale Colorguards attended the NorthEast Colorguard Circuit Championships in Rochester, NY. The Starliners placed 2nd in their class. The Headliners placed 3rd in theirs.
The Headliners received the Bruce McCready Sportsmanship Award. This is nominated by all of the directors in the NECGC, and is a very prestigious recognition.
*The award goes to the guard that best displays an understanding that our activity is not simply about winning or losing. It is also about showing the proper consideration for families, ethics, respect, and a sense of fellowship among all competitors. This award goes to the guard that best demonstrates a commitment to the growth and maturity of all members of our circuit guards and whose actions state: "It's all about the kids!"*

All County Music Festival
Hinsdale students participated in the Cattaraugus County All County Music Festival on March 21st at Olean High School. Students were selected to join elite musicians from area school districts around the county to perform under accomplished guest conductors. The senior high saxophone section worked with a professional saxophone player, Dave Sullivan. The event concluded with a concert for all to enjoy, which included sophomore, Brian Bergstrom performing with the saxophone section on a saxophone feature in "A Night in Tunisia." Sixth grader Hayley Richards contributed to a dramatic element with an elementary band piece titled, "Revenge of the Dust Bunnies." Congratulations to all who participated!

Two Varsity Bowlers State Championship Bound!
The whole school wished Jackson Jones and Madison Rondeau good luck yesterday, as they leave today to represent Hinsdale at varsity bowling state championships in Syracuse this weekend, accompanied by Coach Mallery. They will be competing against all other top bowlers in the state on Saturday, March 14, 2026.
This is a big accomplishment for Jackson, as he is only a sophomore. Madison, a senior, has been representing Hinsdale the last two years at states, winning the 2024 championship title, which is incredible! Madison has also been televised on “Beat the Champ,” which features top bowlers of all ages in WNY.
They are both amazing to watch in their sport, and we wish them the best this weekend!
