phone policy

Dear Hinsdale Families,

I am writing to let you know about New York State’s new distraction-free, no personal smartphones/electronics policy that will take effect in schools across New York State. We will implement this at the start of school in September 2025. Students will be required to store their internet-capable personal devices from the first bell to final dismissal in a secure designated storage area at school. This includes smartphones, smartwatches, cell phones with any internet capability, iPads, or similar devices. We will also have a process for students to contact a parent or caregiver during the school day, if needed.

If you are interested in learning more information on the new cell phone policy and its implementation this coming school year, please join us at the informational night on August 4, 2025, from 5:30-6:00 p.m. in the upper gymnasium.
