Hello! My name is Christine Goodling, and I teach 5th and 6th Grade Math as well as 5th Grade Social Studies. This year marks my 20th year of teaching, and I am excited to share my passion for learning with my students.
I believe that math and social studies help students make sense of the world around them. Through problem-solving, critical thinking, collaboration, and exploring history, students develop the skills and knowledge they need to become confident learners, thoughtful decision-makers, and informed citizens.
I attended St. Bonaventure University, where I earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood, Childhood, and Special Education, as well as a Master’s Degree in Childhood Literacy.
Outside of the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my two daughters, Jenna and Mya, who are 15 and 13 years old. I also enjoy traveling, gardening, and staying active. As a lifelong member of the Hinsdale community, I am proud to have the opportunity to teach and give back to the community that has played such an important role in my life.
I look forward to partnering with you to make this a successful and rewarding school year. Please feel free to contact me at any time with questions, concerns, or suggestions. Working together, we can help your child have a positive, enjoyable, and successful year.
