• Hi, my name is Steve Noll, and I am one of the Physical Education teachers at Hinsdale Central School District.  This is my 26th year working at Hinsdale, but I view each year as an opportunity to create fresh, new learning experiences for our students.  The Physical Education Department has worked hard to incorporate technology, music, and Next Generation Learning Standards into each of our PE classes for a well rounded student experience.  Please see examples of these Anchor Standards below:
New York State Leaning Standards in Physical Education
Standard 1:  Demonstrates the competency in a variety of motor skills and movement patterns
Standard 2:  Applies knowledge of concepts, principles, stagegies, and tactics related to movement and performance
Standard 3:  Demonstrates the knowledge and skills to achieve and maintain a health-enhancing level of physical activity and fitness
Standard 4:  Exhibits responsible personal and social behavior that respects self and others
Standard 5:  Recognizes the value of physical activity for overall wellness, enjoyment, challenge and/or self-expression
Standard 6:  Recognizes career opportunities and manages personal and community resources related to physical activity and fitness to achieve and maintain overall wellness
...The goal for our Physical Education program at Hinsdale Central School is to provide knowledge, skills, and fitness that may empower students to develop and maintain a safe and healthy lifestyle.
