Welcome! All students enrolled in grades K-6 at HCS attend music class. Grades K-3 meet once a week with an extra class every other week. Grades 4-6 meet once a week. Students learn basic music skills such as pitch matching, musical expression, reading musical notation, categorizing music, identifying musical styles and forms, improvising, and composing. We also spend much of the year preparing for our winter and spring concerts.

GRADING POLICY
Students are graded once per semester based on understanding of musical concepts/skills, participation, and effort.
